Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Waistline ("we", "us") covering the Waistline app and the waistline.ai website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What Waistline is, and is not
Waistline is a wellness app that helps you log food, weight, workouts, and photos, and offers AI generated coaching based on what you log. It is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure anything, and its calorie and nutrition figures are estimates that can be wrong. Always use your own judgment and consult a doctor before making significant changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you have any medical condition. Do not use the Service if you have or are recovering from an eating disorder. The Service is intended for adults 18 and older.
AI generated content
Coaching replies are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation despite our safeguards. AI output is provided for general information only, and you are responsible for the decisions you make based on it.
Your use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You will not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe or abuse its systems, extract its credentials, resell access, use it to generate harmful content, or use automated tools to make excessive requests. We may apply usage limits to keep the Service available for everyone.
Beta software
The Service is currently in beta. It may break, lose data, change, or stop working at any time. Back up anything you cannot afford to lose. Beta access is free today; some features may require a paid subscription in the future, and we will make pricing clear before you are ever charged.
Your content
Your logs, photos, and messages remain yours. You give us the limited rights needed to operate the Service, such as transmitting your messages and photos to AI providers to generate the responses you request. We claim no other rights over your content.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
The Service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of ten dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access to the Service, or any part of it, at any time, including for abuse of these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules.
